｢米IBM幹部、社内25000人でクラウド・コンピューティング利用している・・・｣

米IBMのTivoli開発部門でディレクターを勤めるDennis Quan氏によると、同社では社内ポータル「IBM Innovation Portal」において、アマゾンドットコムなどが利用しているクラウド型のプラットフォームのうえで、25000人の社員らが多数のエンタープライズ・アプリケーションを利用していると述べている。今後、このリソースの約20％を社外へ提供する計画あるという。

IBM has proven that cloud computing can meet the demands of an enterprise with 255,000 employees. Launched two and a half years ago, the IBM Innovation Portal runs many applications on a platform that's flexible and similar to that of Amazon, Dennis Quan, IBM's software group director of Tivoli development, told InternetNews.com.
